STAM is a private engineering company, with a staff of more than 10 people, and based in Genoa, Italy. The main mission of the company is to provide engineering services to industries. Since its establishment in 1997, the company has been specializing in design and manufacturing of innovative mechanical systems, based on conventional and non-conventional robotics and mechatronics.
STAM invests a significant part of its turnover in R&D thus providing their customers with most qualified and edging competencies to drive development based on availability and affordability of technological trends. STAM is a SME member of E2BA, and it is also supplier of the European Space Agency since 1999 with the Technology Transfer Programme. In European Research STAM has been involved as participant in more than 20 Projects in the last 10 years, in the fields of advanced mechatronic systems, new materials, automation and energy.
The Company performs all stages of the product design cycle, from conception through validation with CAD and FEA tools, to component and subsystem design and specification, down to the definition of tools, and production cycles.

STAM contributed to the project since the very beginning, during the requirements' analysis; in particular the company collaborated in the selection of materials, demonstrator identification, requirements and benchmarking.

Along project’s core activities, STAM supported the finite-element and computational simulations, within modelling of the composite hybrid components and of the electromagnetic forming process, both focusing on pulse crimp joints for profiled products and sheet products. STAM also contributed to the joint design and optimisation for both products and collaborated in the integration of process steps into the process chain.

Finally STAM led WP 6 “Investigation of life-cycle aspects and pre-normative research”, mainly focusing on product LCA.
